Roc de Cambes Côtes de Bourg 2017

I first had this wine on a holiday visit to St. Émilion. In one of the local shops I asked if they could sell me any decent local wines and they told me that all the good stuff had been exported! But they did pull out a 2006 Roc de Cambes from the Côtes de Bourg not too far away which has since become my absolute favourite claret. It’s full and rich with classical Bordeaux characteristics - earthy and silky smooth with deep black fruit flavours. This is a seriously good claret that will match up easily with wines twice the price - drink now and over the next 10-15 years
